Where is the Hotel? -
The hotel is located on the Eastern edge of Dunfermline approximately 1000m from Junction 3 of the M90 on the A907 road, known locally as Halbeath Road. It is bordered by Carnegie College on the east and Lynebank Hospital on the west. It is approximately 2km east of Dunfermline city centre opposite Halbeath Retail Park.

Edinburgh Airport, approximately 10 miles away and easily reachable by motorway and motorway-standard dual carriageway.

Rooms & Accommodation
What room types do you have –
Two main types: Double rooms each with a double bed and a sofa bed, and Twin rooms, each with two single beds. There is also wheelchair accessible rooms, which are essentially double rooms but adapted for guests who use wheelchairs or have some form of infirmity that makes an in-room alarm system advisable.
How many people can stay in one room?
Up to 2 people can stay in twin rooms and up to four in the double rooms by using the sofa beds, which can accommodate up to 2 people under the age of 18.
Does the internet rate include breakfast?
All guests in the hotel are entitled to a free breakfast.
What are the standard check-in and check-out times of the hotel? Check-in is 2pm and last checkout is 12 Midday. IHG Rewards membership entitles members to request a later check out if available.
Do you provide a service for late check-out?
We provide a late check-out service as detailed above on request and subject to availability.
Do you have rooms with a bathtub?
No. Each room has a power shower. The wheelchair accessible rooms have no-barrier ‘walk-in’ showers.
Do you have non-smoking rooms?
The entire hotel is strictly non-smoking.

What are the check-in/out times?
First check in is 2pm and last check out is 12 Midday.
What age do you class as children for Hotel purposes?

Yes. A safety deposit box is available in reception.
Is email service available at the hotel?
The hotel offers free internet access for guests who have their own appliances. There is also a pay-as-you-go guest computer in the hotel’s Business Area for those who do not bring their own hardware.

Is there car parking at the hotel?
Yes, extensive and free.
Do you have cot beds?
The hotel provides travel-type cots suitable for children aged up to 12 months. Guests are advised to book a double room if they wish a cot provided, for ease of access.
Do you provide high chairs?
Yes. Merely ask a breakfast attendant or the Front Desk staff.
Do you accept Tesco clubcard vouchers?
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
This depends on the terms and conditions of the booking. If it is a reduced-cost advance purchase booking, payment will have already been taken and there is no refund available. Rooms booked under our Best Flex Rate may be cancelled up to 4pm on the day of arrival without penalty.
What do I do if I have a special request?
There is a section on the website booking for special requests, or speak to the Front Desk staff member who checks you in.
How can I book an event?
Does this mean organising an event within the hotel? If so the hotel facilities include the Carnegie Room, a well-equipped meeting room that can accommodate up to 30 people theatre-style. If it means booking an event in a local venue, ask at the Front Desk and our staff will aid you as much as possible.
Food & Dining
What options for dining are there in the Hotel?
We provide a good selection of bar-type meals from 6pm until approximately 10.00pm each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On other days the duty managers operate a pizza menu with three flavours of pizza. Guests may also bring their own food into the hotel or call for a delivered meal from a local vendor. A selection of takeaway menus are kept at the front desk.
Do I need to book for dinner?
Evening service is very informal with guests ordering and paying for their food at the bar alongside drinks, so no booking is necessary.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Guests are encouraged to give special food requirements in advance so the staff can purchase extra suitable food items such as gluten-free bread for breakfast etc.,
Is a special menu available for children?
Our menu does not offer different-sized portions. But the menu does offer a selection of starter and side dishes that would be suitable for children.
Do you have 24 hour room service?
No. The hotel, being a ‘limited service’ type hotel does not offer room service, which is reflected in the low cost of our accommodation compared with full service hotels such as the Holiday Inn. However, Front Desk staff are on call 24 hours a day to answer guests’ queries and to ensure they have adequate pillows, towels etc etc.
Can I connect my laptop in the room?
There is free internet access in every room.
Do you offer special corporate rates to companies?
The hotel encourages companies who use the hotel to request a meeting with a member of our Sales team to discuss signing up to our special corporate rate schemes Business Club or Business Advantage. Ask at reception for details
